Some Salient Features

 

Bridged Contemporary Curriculam

The curriculam is designed to accommodate latest corporate developments of relevance. The Board of Studies comparising of seasoned academicians, qualified experts from the industry and senior faculty members ensure the right mix of courses in the curriculam

Emphasis on Case Study Methodology in Teaching

Studies are  exposed to the case-study methodology wherever possible. Carefully chosen cases are given to the students for analysis and discussion in class.This method promotes a creative,collaborative and critical learning atmosphere that encourages personal reflections and synthesis of ideas.

The post lunch sessions are dedicated for Activities Based Learning (ALM) like debates, group discussions, seminars presentations, role play, simulation games, etc to reinforce & supplement the class room lectures 50% of weightage in internal marks is given for the above said activities performed by the students throughout the year. 

Entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell)

To encourage entrepreneurship among the students, successful business ventures established by our students will be provided with a finiancial assistance of Rs. 10,000 per month for a period of one year as a seed capital for initiating the enterprise. Entrepreneurship development cell functioning at School of Management fosters entrepreneurship among the students thus encouraging them to become employers rather than employees. To motivate the students, the ED cell regularly organises one to one meeting with successful entrepreneurs and training programmes.

As a milestone achievement ED Cell of SASTRA University has been selected by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Government of Tamil Nadu, Chennai as “College Entrepreneur & Innovation Hub” (CE&IHub) for the districts of Trichy, Tanjore, Karur, Ariyalur, Perambalur, Pudukkottai, Thiruvarur, and Nagapattinam.
